For some reason, the more I look at this the more I think I would really like it… if it were a nimble, thrifty $25K RSX-sized replacement. As a $50K midsize SUV/crossover thingy, it makes absolutely no sense.

This is supposed to be acura’s version of the bmw x6, its done exactly what bmw has done and lacks when it comes completely to styling. ha wouldn’t be suprised if they try coming out with a more powerful version like the bmx x6 m

Well if anything, this will appeal to countries where the roads aren’t so smooth, which isn’t the case in the US. Actually I thought the car looks way better than the TL from certain angles. I’d have to see one in person to decide…

the X6 isnt ugly. Its pointless but not unattractive. This “class” of vehicles is a pointless niche. BMW only sells a few hundred X6s a month. The ZDX is ridiculous looking and offers no practicality. You might as well stick with the TL and save thousands.

By the looks of it I’d say a roof rack is completely out of the question but you could use it as a ski jump during the winter.

reedfast – I dob’t think this thing will eat into RDX sales. This thing is going to be upscale of the MDX, which is already pricey. Besides I think the RDX overall is a more reasonable package. Could use some fixes here and there.

PS Did Acura hire the GM team that worked on the Aztek and Rendevous?

This THING is so disfunctional. Basically, automakers such as BMW, Acura and Infiniti have tried to take the essence of the station wagon and make it as disfunctional as possible. Look at the HUGE blind spot in the rear!! It actually closes in on you, making it even bigger. Seems like they could have put a jump seat in there… but that would have made it to station wagon like.

I don’t think much of it. But 300 horses from a V-6 is pretty cool. Think of how long these superpowered, 280 horsepower Camry’s and Accords will be around?

I think in Acura’s case the idiom “less is more” holds true. The less pictures they release more favors they will do for themselves. This things looks butt ugly, borderline fugly.
