The Saab Aero-X Concept will start influencing the company’s production vehicles as early as 2008, according to AutoWeek. Former Cadillac marketer Jay Spenchian said he thinks the Aero-X could provide a design basis for all future models in the same way Cadillac’s 1999 Evoq Concept (shown right) set the stage for its design revolution. Spenchian said skeptical reactions to the Aero-X should not concern GM. A groundbreaking design, he says, should make people a bit uncomfortable, as was the case with the Cadillac CTS , and, to some extent, the Chrysler 300 .
