Alfa Romeo plans to build a production version of its highly popular Alfa 8C Competizione concept, according to 4Car. Like the concept — which was first shown in 2003 — the mass-market model will likely have a carbon fiber body and Ferrari -derrived V8 engine. Output is expected around 440 horsepower. Alfa’s new CEO Antonio Baravalle is extremely enthusiastic about the new coupe, and reportedly also wants to make a Spider (convertible) version later as well.
