Alfa Romeo plans to build a production version of its highly popular Alfa 8C Competizione concept, according to 4Car. Like the concept — which was first shown in 2003 — the mass-market model will likely have a carbon fiber body and Ferrari-derrived V8 engine. Output is expected around 440 horsepower. Alfa’s new CEO Antonio Baravalle is extremely enthusiastic about the new coupe, and reportedly also wants to make a Spider (convertible) version later as well. See some shots of the car after the jump…

It’s a mix between an Enzo, a 360, a Bora and a 911…
That may sound good, but I don’t care much for the looks.

That is probably one of the sharpest and close to reality Concepts out there, and glad it mgiht actually become a real life car. I love the old Ferrari mixed with the old Alpha body. And that back end is perfect simplicity!!!!! The only draw back is that has an Alpha nose

This is the most desirable car that I have seen in a very long time. If this car is produced then I will buy one no question about it. It looks stunning from all angles. Well done Alfa!
