Alfa Romeo revealed to the world its all-new MiTo small car less than a month ago, and on Wednesday the Italian automaker unveiled the MiTo’s official logo. Alfa Romeo held an online contest to determine which badge design would adorn the MiTo’s posterior, and the badge that held to the “less is more” mantra ultimately won out.
The MiTo is no stranger to online naming contests as Alfa Romeo originally put the naming of the little car up to the internet voting public. The name Furiosa won that contest, but Alfa Romeo thought that MiTo was a more befitting name for the car and so it stands.

A list of the six logos that almost made the cut are listed on the right.

But by any name — or logo — the MiTo promises to be a competent compact, with a range of peppy drivetrains and the stylish good looks of the 8C Competizione.
