Alfa Romeo prices 8C

Alfa Romeo has released European market pricing for its upcoming 8C supercar: 159,300 euros, or about $219,500 at current exchange rates. This pricing puts the 8C a little below standard supercar pricing, but still in line with cars like the Porsche 911 Turbo.

The $219,500 figure is not a good estimate of what the 8C will sell for when the expected 99 Alfas allocated for the United States and Canada arrive on North American soil. The Lamborghini Gallardo starts around 185,000 euros, but sells for $175,000 in the U.S. If that figure is any indication, we’d expect around a $160,000 price for the 8C. Still, rumors indicate that all of the 99 allocated cars have been pre-sold.

A very beautiful car but overpriced in my opinion. I guess that doesn’t really matter when they are all sold.

I don’t think I’d get the Alfa. For the price I could have a Gallardo and a Ducati 1098. That’s a better garage in my opinion.

Sunshine 1810: You cannot put a price on beauty such as that. The biggest shame about the 8C is that most will keep it in a garage.

I’d sell my sister and her two rotten kids to the devil for one of those.

Get your facts straight guys. The 911 Turbo is $ 126 K and not over 200k in the US!
The Alfa is priced to compete in the price range of the Ferrari Challenge Stradale which is a far superior weapon.
This Alfa, good looking or not, is clearly overpriced.

The Fiat Group owns both Ferrari and Alfa Romeo. The 8C and Stradale may be similarly priced but will not compete against each other. The Stradale is an all-out sports car, while the 8C has some comfort. It will fill the gap between Ferrari and Maserati (also owned by Fiat).

Damn it, we need these cars in the US :p

Hold your ponies! This car is not meant to ‘compete’. Limited to 500, it will be snatched up by collectors and those who enjoy more from a car than 0-60 times and lateral g’s.

CTS, agreed. As I’ve said before I’ve always had a soft spot for Alfas. When they aren’t in the garage for repair, there’s absolutely nothing else like them.

Alfa Romeo is the second best auto manufacturer aside Aston Martin. M any call them “the Ferrari of the people” due to the fact they have beauty and a great experience.

I REALLY LOVE THE 8C, the successor to the original 8c which won all its races in the 1950 Grand Prix with Fangio and Farina driving. Alfa has shaped motoring history.

And so, a homage to the new 8C and the lucky 500 owners. Those lucky buggers get to own the most beautiful car ever made.

The 8c is a nice looking car, but I don’t know about the production cars they’re bringing here. The brera is not that great in my opinion, although I like the spider version. The alfa I would want is the 147, or whatever the next version will be, if that’s the 149.

it’s prices against a 911 Turbo in Europe… also, as correctly stated above… it’s a collectors item, especially in the USA.
