Confirming earlier reports, Nissan will roll out new versions of its Quest minivan and Infiniti QX56 premium SUV next year. The current Quest was launched in 2003 while the QX56 has remained on the market relatively unchanged since 2004.
It remains unclear exactly when the new models will make their first official appearance, but Larry Dominique – Nissan’s head of product planning – confirmed to Ward’s Auto that both models will bow sometime next year.

Dominique didn’t give away much in the way of details, but indicated the next version of the Quest could feature a storage system similar to Chrysler ’s Stow ‘n Go. “We’ve got to have the kind of size, utility, capacity, capability everyone else has got,†he said.

Not much is known about the all-new QX56, but it is believed that the next version of the ‘ute could sport a smaller footprint.

Nissan confirmed earlier this year that the Quest and QX56 will be shifting production from the United States to Japan.
