I really like camaros, but the design looks like something from the future. I'd like it to look more modern. I'm not to crazy about the front end although the back end looks awesome. I think the camaro looks a little like a mustang. I DON'T like fords and I wouldn't like it if chevy's muscle car came out looking like ford's muscle car! I took a look under the camaro's hood and the engine looked like a metal cube. Let's make the engine look more modern and more agressive than metal cube. The body work has a lot of edges. I think it would look better if some of the camaro's edges were rounded off. To make a long story short, the car looks too futuristic. If the body is going to be based on the classic camaro, than the car shouldlook more modern.

First off the car is great I’m sure their will be some mild changes but still on the right path. If you wasn’t a 1st Gen. muscle car go buy one. as for the statement Mopargirl65 stated previously the muscle car versions from mopar were 3 years later than those of gm and even more of the mustang. Take for example the side profile of any mopar car from that era and even the new concept. Looks like a 1st gen camaro to many. Lets not forget the cheap versions that came out in the early eighties that looked like the front end of a camaro and rear end of a 5.0 mustang spliced together hmmmmm. Guess short term memory is what chrysler fans are best known for . Let me think the dodge ram remake in the 90's look like they got the idea from looking at semi trucks front end. Oh and lets talk about the pt cruiser look up 1937's Chevrolets especially the coupe model, I don't know why if your going to retro a car not retro your own line. Lets not forget you probably think the hhr was copied from a pt cruiser .Look at the 1949-1954 suburban. Just goes to show that most negative comments on the new camaro concept are those from ford, dodge, ricers that are used to getting smoked on the track or road.

Personally I love the lines of the 69' AS IS and I agree Chevy should just stick with that design if they're going retro. Why re-release the 69'? Reliability... I would love to drive a 69' Camaro to work everyday that isn't 35 years old.

Everyone out there that’s shoutin out “Challenger Challenger the best concept ever, pull your head out of your a**es. This isn’t a concept, there’s nothing new about it. It’s a 1972 Challenger that’s simply refined with better cues and smoother edges. Wow…..that must have taken a lot of work from Dodge to come up with. And please tell me who is the person on this thread that set the rule stating that the Camaro HAD to be straight retro??? If you are a tru Camaro enthusiast you will be able to see the 60’s accents in the fender line, hood lines, entire side and yes even the front end. It combines a retro appearance with a modern look that will appeal for many years. Those of you saying that Hortons Design is better…. it is a great design but it’s not realistic. This design would have to share the same platform as the Pontiac Solstice and wouldn’t even be in the same class as the Mustang anymore but rather the Miata. All you haters out there that are saying GM isn’t going to be around long enough to even build this car, do some damn research. GM sold 9.17 million vehicles last year, Toyota only 8.1 mil, and CHEVROLET alone 4.6 million, (for those of you that’s counting Chevrolet outsold Ford for the first time since 1986). Oh and you Ford fans, the Great Grand daughter of Henry Ford is one of the most powerful Executives within Ford Motor company and guess what, she really really doesn’t like performance vehicles (ie Mustang). Hats off to GM for creating an outstanding Camaro Concept. It looks immaculant and until it is build I will enjoy smoking 05′ Mustangs an ricers with my 98′ Z28.

I can't seem to understand why GM is taking the direction of making their line of cars so angular. This started with Cadillac, which are the uglist cars available, and is now finding its way into the cars that people used to love. Even the new Corvette has gone this way, just when it looked as if they were getting it right, they went in the wrong direction. For example, look at the Ford GT, smooth, sexy, as close to the original as you can get and people love it. On the other hand, look at the Dodge Charger, Big, rectangular, ugly, and even the Chrysler execs admit that they blew it, which is why they designed the Challenger, because that is what people want. The Camaro looks like a screwed up Cadillac, and GM will go through numerous iterations before they come to the conclusion that they got it wrong.
All that I can say is that we need to get some designers from Italy, Germany and such, not these guys who are trying to make a statement with their radical designs.

Not much different. The Camaro is nice, but I wonder how well it will translate from Concept to Production. Everyone that I have showed the pics too does not like it. Some say it looks to angry, others are saying to much like a Mustang, other say it's just plain ugly.

to me it reminds me of the failed 1999 GTO concept. Compare those two cars side by side and see what I'm talking about.

A more pure retro design with clean, modern lines would have been better -- like the Mustang and the Challenger.
