Apple CEO Steve Jobs rollin’ on dubs

Apple’s trendy CEO Steve Jobs was spotted entering what appears to be a Mercedes SL55 or SL65 AMG at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, a day before Macworld Expo. According to a report by the German website that nabbed the photos, the car was spotted in Jobs’ regular “company car” parking space, which was previously occupied by a Mercedes S-Class sedan that he owned. The car is sitting on some large and stylish after-market rims — so if Jobs indeed owns this car, it’s a sign that he’s a car nut like all of us. And considering this Jobs’ “work car,” we’d love to see what he drives on the weekend. Of course, when you’re a billionaire, anything is possible. In October, we reported that Mr. Jobs shared his thoughts on car design. In November, we reported that Apple’s head designer Jonathan Ive — credited with creating the iMac and iPod — drives an Aston Martin. Late last month, we noted that Bill Gates’ old Lexus was up for sale on eBay. In total there are seven images of Jobs and his SL, all of which can be seen here.

hmmm…. all the pictures show him getting into the passenger side… and some dude dropping his luggage in the trunk… looks like jobs was just getting a ride — an expensive one at that… also, given that he’s a control freak… i’d seriously doubt that he’d lend that car out to someone else to drive while he sat in the passenger seat…

This is not Steve’s car – it belongs to another VP at Apple.

You know, the current SL is one of the most beautiful designs out there period. But those wheels KILL it.
