Arash releases preview images of AF10 supercar

10/15/2008, 4:20 PM

By Andrew Ganz

British design firm Arash has released heavily enhanced images of the Corvette-powered AF10 supercar the company says it intends to produce in the near future. Arash says the AF10 will feature the 505 horsepower, 7.0 liter LS7 V8 found in the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, enabling the aerodynamic AF10 to hit 60 in less than 3.5 seconds and top out at 204 mph.

Arash, named for founder Arash Farboud, also plans to unveil a supercharged version that will push 850 horsepower. To be called the AF10-S, the supercharged variant’s reveal has yet to be determined.

The AF10 has a full carbon fiber body over a steel and carbon fiber chassis. It features a six-speed Grazianno transmission, 19 inch wheels (the 21 inchers pictured will be optional), lift-up doors and a lifetime body warranty.

I wish all these one-off, fly-by-night supercar makers (maybe) would go away already, and LLN, I wish you would stop wasting time & space on them. Thank you.

What does “heavily enhanced” mean? Fake? Too lazy to look up the link, but someone pointed out these are all photoshopped. Shame on Arash for trying apparently trying to pass them off as real (who wants to tell their date, “hey baby…I have Arash”?). The most obvious is the Porsche turn signal and the Acura tail light that was copied, pasted and then Shift + Control + U’d. lol

By Acura tail light, I mean the Honda HSC concept from 2003.

the front is a killer one. too bad that it has so many similarities to the enzo…

yeah but Farboud (in England anyway) already has a couple of cars out…

but I agree… I think all these one off supercar makers should just merge and pool their resources so they can actually make something that works

@johnnycanuck, yes, there it is…it’s called “legal counsel” that Ferrari should exercise by rubbing all over Arash.

=========>>i hate to say it, but rds130 has a major point. Now i’m not saying by any means that it means anything negative, but every single picture of this car shown has been photoshopped. In the side view pic, those brakes are superfake.

it actually is a design improvement over the enzo. i think we need more of these one-off companies to keep pushing the envelope and keep the default favorites on their toes. lets face it, mcclaren was a one-off that lit a fire under lambo and ferrari. it was so far ahead of it’s time, it took until just recently to become tech dated. i’d take a koenigsegg or a zonda over a lambo or ferrari any day (diiferent price class, though). you’ve got to start somewhere, just look at lambo as the small startup, going up against the ferrari icon.

If you read about the owner he is a young rich guy who has ferraris lambos porsche and ordered a veyron….obviously ripped of design elements from enzo….but still a good effort to make his own supercar……well when you have that much money what else do you do…
But fark me…A RASH…please…..no women would ever come near you….thats the opposite of what i would want if i had a supercar….hahahahah

what do you drive honey….I HAVE A RASH……hahahah

This is an Enzo morphed with a Porsche Carrera GT and some carbon fiber slapped on it.

I like it. Sure, it may a photoshopped Enzo/Carrera GT/ HSC with a weird name, but other than that, the design is clean, innovative, and clear cut. It doesn’t have the generic feel of a kit car either (perhaps the Enzo molds?). But my only problem is the rear fascia. This car has a very fresh and futuristic design- except for the rear. The details are a bit messy and too close together. If they had a put GranTurismo or GT90 Concept rear taillights on it, it would justify the rear. And i’m just pointing out, if a 505 HP Corvette engine can bring it to 0-60 in 3.5 to 204 MPH, how will the numbers change once you’ve brought that up to 850 HP? Not so Enzo-wannabe now, huh?

I think Ferrari will sue and I can see their point. I can’t see this happening. Arash Farboud never finished his first project, Farboud (now Farbio). He’ll probably get bored pretty soon and look for a new toy. Evo magazine joked in asking him whether he has a second name (he has).
