British cars have always been cool, says Laurance Yap of the Toronto Star. But until recently, owning one hasn’t necessarily been desirable. Yap’s column discusses at how Jaguar , Rolls-Royce , Aston Martin , Lotus and Bentley have returned to their past glory thanks to outside investors. “What’s interesting is that the renaissance in British motoring has been largely thanks to the stewardship and investment dollars provided by non-British entities,” explains yap. But regardless of who owns these companies, “British cars are cool cars that no longer need any excuses,” Yap says.
