Aston Martin teases Project 003 hypercar

The mid-engine 003 features technology developed for the Valkyrie (001) and Valkyrie AMR Pro (002).

Aston Martin has confirmed plans to build a third hypercar variant, known as Project 003 during the development phase.

The 003 is another mid-engine car focusing on lightweight construction and powered by a turbocharged gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain.

The company promises "class-leading dynamics" on both the road and track, but with more creature comforts including space for luggage.

""It was always the intention for the Aston Martin Valkyrie to be a once-in-a lifetime project, however, it was also vital to us that Valkyrie would create a legacy: a direct descendent that would also set new standards within its own area of the hypercar market, creating a bloodline of highly specialised, limited production machines that can exist in parallel with Aston Martin's series production models," says Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer.

The 003 will arrive in late 2021, with production limited to just 500 units globally.
