The only BMW worth getting is anything above the 3 series. The interior improvement of the 5 over 3 and E over C really justifies the price of admission unlike their cheapest models.

I don’t know why everyone dotes on the 3 series. I took one out for a test drive the other day, a 330 coupe. Nice, very nice, but it didn’t totally blow me away. I agree, the A4 isn’t all that fast either, but the interior is more interesting.

I still think Mercedes kills them both. I would rather get an E-class than loaded 3.

Eww…another Audi tent. Looks sweet, LOL. The 2005 A4 was only exterior updates and the new engines…fairly extensive for a MMC but the interior was basically the same and hasn’t really been revised since the 2003 model change.

My dad has a 2005 A8, and he has 30,000 miles and little things are breaking inside the interior like the MMI is acting weird, certain panels are very loose, tons of rattles, it sucks cause I love that car. But german car reliability isnt too amazing to begin with

Yeah, looks like the new RS4 is probably going to be dropped around ‘09. That’s what happened last time: the 2001-or-so RS4 was made for like 1 or 2 model years (& never brough to the US) and then got cut. An RS takes many a model year to happen, & by the time Audi’s done, little time is left.

well if it was a minor facelift then why did they bother introducing an all new RS4?? so does that mean that when the new A4 comes out in 2009 will there be an all new RS4??

Still can’t believe people make a good living taking pictures of a tent on wheels.

This conversation never happened:
Mr. Jones the Teacher: Well, then John, what would you like to do when you leave school?
John : I’d lake to take pictures of tents on wheels, and get paid loads, Sir!

Am also not sure about the reliability concerns you seem to have in the U.S. with Audis. Don’t they travel well? – they seem fine over this side of the pond – had 3, no problems as all, & they’re not renowned for bad reliability here either.

Well done Audi. Try to out do BMW again. Won’t happen. Throw as much technology into it as you can get, give it a great engine and it’s still 3 steps behind BMW. And always will be. Who just cleaned up at the engine of the year awards…? (sarcasm intended!)
