I’ll respectfully disagree that the interior isn’t behind the times. It definitely screams Audi in its design, but Audi interiors just never did it for me. When I look at one, it just reminds me of the BMW and Audi interiors (I guess you could say ‘German’) of the 1980s. Those were great interiors for the time, but they’re way too busy for this day of age. This A5 looks nice inside except for mainly the centre stack, which retains that busyness that I’m talking about. There’s just way too much switchgear going on. I also think it looks blocky, like most Audi interiors of past and present, but the organic and free-flowing Japanese and recent American designs I probably just enjoy more. Matter of personal taste, perhaps. However, I will say that one Japanese luxury interior that I really dislike is that of the Lexus LS — it just looks way too busy, compared to the surprising simplicity of the BMW 7-Series or Audi A8. “Simplicity” is a design disguise in those cases, though, because the one iDrive knob that controls everything is anything but simple.

I agree the car is nice but i’ve seen a few in person it is like a fat women its huge and looks overweight.

Competitor to the BMW 3-series? No way, the Audi is not a RWD, and that is the ONLY thing i dislike with this very beautiful car.(No, i do not like 4WD, i only like RWD)

When I first saw this car, I almost wet myself as well. Beautiful.

@PW: I disagree with “behind the times.” It’s a well-done German interior. Neither it nor the 3-series has an interior that is as organic and flowing as Japanese (and now more American) designs. Behind the times? No. Different? Yes.

I have oto disagree PW. Audi’s interiors i wouldn’t say are behind the times, they just aren’t as”busy” as other interiors, It’s very less is more approach. and the silverado pic is showing an A5’s DRL in the reflection. it looks kinda cool. But anywho., this car is beautiful, Even tho i have seen more than my fair of them (most in s5 guise however) it never ceases to make my head turn. Audi definitely needed this car in its lineup.

That is one beautiful car. Except for the front end. But considering how all Audi’s have looked alike to the point of being extremely boring, this one stands out. I still think Audi interior designs are overrated, though. The materials might be good, but the designs are often behind the times.
