The Audi A8 L is a long-wheelbase version of the popular A8 luxury sedan. The car is five inches longer than the standard A8, all of which accounts for additional rear seat legroom. Improvements to the A8L will match that of the regular-wheel base A8 sedan, including the revised suspension and steering, as well as the exterior changes.

The A8L can be ordered with the standard 4.2-liter V8 with 350 horsepower, or Audi ’s W12 powerplant producing a solid 450 horsepower from 12 cylinders.

Even for such a large sedan, the sprint to 60 mph takes just 5.0 seconds, thanks to the big engine and Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

The current-generation A8 has been a sales success for Audi, selling over 100,000 examples world wide.
