Audi is giving UK buyers that missed out on snatching up its limited edition RS 3 Sportback another chance at ownership. Audi announced on Wednesday that it has approved another limited run of the hot hatch for the British market.

Following an initial production run of 500 units in 2011, Audi has announced that it is sending another 250 units of the RS 3 to the UK this year. As with the first 500 RS 3s, the latest batch will carry a price of £39,930 ($62,425) OTR.

A year on the Audi RS 3 remains one of the hottest hatched on the market, thanks to a five-cylinder turbocharged engine that cranks out 335 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a standard seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

As a result of that grunt and grip, the RS 3 can rip from 0-62mph in just 4.6 seconds. The hot hatch has an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.

Unfortunately for those living on this side of the Atlantic, Audi still has no plans to sell the high-dollar RS 3 in U.S. showrooms.
