Audi envy? Tuner puts huge grille on M-Class

05/03/2006, 4:02 PM

By admin

ASMA-Design, the company that brought the world the Mercedes CLS Shark II, has unveiled a similarly-styled ML-Class. The “Gladiator II” features, among other things, a giant grille. It also has a new hood, bumpers, wheels, fenders, and more. What more can we say? Images after the jump…

WHY? GOD, WHY?

Audi couldn’t design an ugly car like that if they tried, and I mean really tried.

I don’t like this but the CLS is actually pretty decent, despite the fact it looks like a snow plow. Less ‘bars’ would make it look better IMO

Somebody needs to kill this stupid company already thats another count of Mercedes destruction they have commmitted. What makes me wonder is who the hell is actually giving this company money to keep doing this?

Mercedes didn’t do this… an aftermarket company did this to a Merceds ML. It’s not like it’s a production car or anything. call it ugly and move on!

Just add a Mercedes logo on the grill and it would look nice. I like it.

I appreciate the effort the ASBOs went to to attempt a veiling of the eyeball dessicating styling of the M-Class, however, doing ‘an Audi’ on it not only draws more attention to it, it makes it look even worse! It’s manically unbalanced, too bland to be exciting and too gawdy to be classy.

Merc’s standard line-up is starting to grow moss – they’re falling ludicrously far behind ye four rings et la leaping kittie, the only car they make that’s worth a punt is the CLS – and it’s got front headlamps like a sodding molten golf club.

And how dare anyone compare them to Audi? Fifteen years ago, maybe, but not in 2006…

It actually looks more like a Chrysler than and Audi. Perhaps this is the new Pacifica. :-D

I’d say this has less to do with Audi and more to do with Pacifica.
