The whole reason the A5 platform is so different is because the front axle is pushed way ahead of the engine for better weight distribution and a lower front overhang because the chief over at VW refused the lower-downs cries to create a RWD platform. So what did they do? They created the best AWD platform available, albeit a FWD one.
