it really depends on what you value. i’ve drive beemers, benz’s, and audi’s, and of all….i have to say that i really believe audi is on top of the game at this point.

i’m a bit younger than most people on this board but im not your typical teen looking for a g37 or 350z to race and crash. the 3 series has completely lost its value for me. it’s an over-done, cheap-looking car that just lacks the qualities of the higher bmw models.

you really do get the best bang for your buck with the a4, but it’s not just a bargain-it’s something you will be proud of owning. interior in intuitive, exterior re-defines the segment, and as far as i’m concerned, it has set a new level for the entry level vehicles of the major luxury brands.

Yeah, I’m with jonmiles on this one…can you please explain what an “enthusiast wannabe” is? I wonder if it’s somewhere along the lines of driving a Hyundai with a supercharger…hahaha.

Anyways, the car looks really nice. I like the interior a lot too…what I don’t like is the “bang-for-the-buck” value. That 3.2 sounds smooth, but it just doesn’t stack up with the rest of the cars in this segment (IS350, G37, 335i, C350, CTS…etc.) I’d rather buy a 3 or an In-fin-uh-tee if given the chance. =)

These arent two new models, its just a 6 speed and a 2wd… just like a 335i, 335xi, and 335i with a 6 speed.

sm1250. where does the definition of coupe say its has to be a 2 door?

The CC and MB CLS are both 4 door coupes. The reason they can classify themselves this way is because of the very low roof line (the CC is two inches shorter then the Passat it is based on) and the fact it is a 4 seater, not a five.

But yea, YOU tell that to MB and VW that you know more about the definitions of a coupe then they do. I am sure they will get right on that correction for you

This is a stupid story, my buddy had a 2004 Audi A4 ultra-sport with quattro and a 6-speed manual, quattro is an option not a standard feature. Also the VW CC has four doors, which means that it is not a coupe.

How true. I was seriously considering one as my next company car so I tested one for a whole weekend. Too bad I couldn’t drive more than half an hour at the time because of those horrible seats! The LED lamps just screams “gay”, and the feeling that the car is built by the same company that couldn’t get a full EuroNCAP safety rating for their big Q7 just makes me wonder… That most owners I know have their new Audis in the workshop at least twice a year for obscure electrical problem made me say no thanks. But obviously others like them.

i’ve had the 2.0 quattro for about a month and have truly enjoyed it. to howsmydriving: may i ask what you drive? a subaru? i mean….don’t know the a4 ’till you have driven it. i expected the same shaky, bouncy ride as the old a4’s, but it’s been completely revamped. looks to die for, but i wouldn’t have to even touch on that because you can check out the pics yourself.

audi is just continuing to up the ante on bmw and benz, their cars are well-made, they look absolutely amazing, drive like nobody’s business, and are reasonably priced. sure, you can get a 3 series, c class or is250 for around the same price, but the a4 is now a new option off the beaten track that kicks the aforementioned car’s asses.

borat, awd and 6 speed only available now on the CC, which is the longer, shorter, wider coupe version of the Passat. and its only available with the VR6 so far! which sucks. europe gets all the good stuff!

I wonder if you can Passat with same engine, AWD and 6 speed? I think you could when it was 1.8L. Audi looks better (or so I think) but if it is the same engine, tranny and driveline why pay for extra rings?
