Audi launches full integration with Apple iPhone

08/14/2007, 10:15 AM

By Nick

Audi has revealed a new optional Music Interface for the A5, A6, A8 and Q7, allowing owners to fully integrate Apple’s new iPhone with their car’s MMI interface.

Alongside the standard hands-free functions (accept/reject call/hands-free), the mobile phone preparation supports the display of the signal strength and the provider’s name, in addition to the transfer of the telephone directory including the icons “Work”, “Home”, “Mobile” and the call lists.

The Audi Music Interface also enables customers to enjoy the iPhone’s music playback function, allowing users to navigate conveniently through their music compilations by artist, track title, playlists and genre.

I hope this is not standard. In 3 years it’ll be like having an 8-track in a used car.

Great, another electrical nightmare, as if Volkswagons were bad enough already.

And GM is good. Every GM I have driven isn’t worth a single penny. GM is absolute garbage where Ford and Chrysler also are.

LOL its a great idea. Its just Blue Tooth ppl, it will work with any blue tooth phone, but if your lucky enough to own an iPhone then its that much better.

It was only a matter of time before somebody did it. I’m sure the Audi drivers who own iPhones will love it.

Pattern? You surely aren’t questioning the flow of time are you? Every article I see here seems to follow chronological order.

On topic, I don’t really give a ****. Agree with deanster – just drive.
