German automaker Audi sold 509,000 cars in the first six months of 2007, its best six-month sales figure ever and a 9.8 percent increase over the previous year. Interestingly, Audi’s biggest sales jump was in Russia, where 7,272 four-ringed German cars wound up in Russian garages in the six month period, a 76.3 percent increase over 2006.
Audi is gunning for 1 million cars sold in ’07, a hefty increase over record-breaking ’06 when it sold 905,000 cars.
