A new set of spy photos by Hans G. Lehmann show a prototype for Audi ’s new A6 Allroad wagon. It’s not what the images show that’s so important, rather they simply confirm the German carmaker’s intentions. The production version of this car (shown right in concept form) will feature wider fender flares, and different body cladding for off-road use. Based on the new A6 Avant, this car will replace the previous-generation A6 Allroad, which stopped production in July. The new Allroad is scheduled for a launch at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show in March. Audi tested the public’s reaction to the possibility of a new A6 Allroad with the Allroad concept (shown right) at the last Detroit auto show in January, 2005.
