RS made Audi vehicles should NEVER be Cabriolets. Ever. Avants make sense, Cabs don’t. I agree with Audi just trying to position themselves with Merc in this region along with the new A5 or whatever which is aimed @ Mercs Cab. Audi is seriously making some small mistakes, they are biting BMW and MErcs styling way too much. Audi needs to stepback and stay focused on performance and what Audi enthusiasts want.

I’m sure this can compete with a base 911, and it has useable backseats and a ragtop to boot. IF you look at it that way, it’s not THAT outrageously priced.

Outrageous is the TT, a gussied-up Golf, at 50,000 dollars.

They’re only making these -for the US at least- for about a year. That will keep the resale high. They will be rare and most of you won’t be able to buy it so I wouldn’t judge the ones who can. This is an amazing car and it’s the best looking convertible made IMO.

The price for an Audi RS4 sedan is over priced. This model, the RS4 cabrio price is simply outrageous. For $90,000 dollars, there are many other cars I would rather have.

55hp is about 12% more. I agree its quite a bit.

But wait – there’s more. The Mercedes motor also has 50% more displacement which helps it make a whopping **150ft/lb more torque** than the Audi. Sadly though, the Mercedes is stuck with the auto transmission.

Now, the CLK 63 is overpriced just like this RS4 but you don’t notice it as much since sits amongst an entire fleet of stratospherically priced AMG cars that range all the way up to $180,000 in price.

In normal car talk that is a HUGE gap, but not here ??

Maybe their sales will go up. “There a sucker born every minute”, and audi is counting on it.

First they said in 2005 a definite no to brining it here and now a yes? And I agree with global, you can grab a B5 chassis S4 super cheap. Just swap on some GT2871R’s and instant z06 vette eater.

Honestly, I respects RS4’s but who the hell is going to pay 81,000 for an A4??? That 81k is before the gas guzzler tax too. That is outrageous. An M3 conv. dosent even fetch such a price.
