Because the car doesn't get to a high RPM relative to petrol engines, it doesn't produce as much Horsepower. However, keep in mind, horsepower sells cars, TORQUE moves them... and wins races. I watched this race and let me tell you, the R10 was being tailed by a Porsche and the Porsche would catch up on the tight turns, but as soon as the exited the AUDI pulled like you wouldn't believe. #3 Horsepower is a funtion of Torque and RPM.
