Love it or hate it, Audi is creating quite a buzz with its 2007 TT, which is due to break cover on April 6th. As a treat for Audi lovers, the automaker has released two new sketches of the much-anticipated coupe. See the new sketches (plus two prior ones) after the jump…

Looks…..like a TT.

I was hoping they’d push things a bit further. It just might, we’ll see.

Audi is trying SO HARD to build tremendous hype for the new TT! Oooh – a mini-website, and a sketch – oh, and ANOTHER sketch…

As of today I officially refuse to read any more Audi hype stories, or look at any pictures*

*I know this doesn’t effect anyone, so don’t go all “Well don’t read the story if you don’t want to” on me. I’m just quickly voicing my personal protest on how friggin’ long they’re dragging this out.

Where do I get the pics without that annoying red LLN watermark-whatever-thing?! Ppl. you should do something about it…

Sandman, if you haven’t noticed, LLN is REALLY into branding here. *rolls eyes*

Images are watermarked to prevent other (especially larger) sites from taking them without crediting. As for those photos, yes that is the “real” TT, but the grille is hidden as are the real tail lights. We had images like this a few weeks/months ago. :)

Unfortunately, the new Audi TT is a different body on the current new Mk5 Volkswagen Golf PQ35 chasis. A smart man would buy a Golf R32 instead, which will really be the R36 in North America and get a stellar performing compact car for much less than the Audi, and you would actually have a useable back seat.

That rear is starting to look more and more like that of a Porsche’s with every new batch they release.

This looks really good, follows the origianl lines but incorporates new and fresh design elements. This car will probably have the same engines as GTI and R32 but there are rumors of a high performance 300+ engine as and RS. The car is also supposed to be made largely out of aluminum, so it will outperform the GTI or R32 with the same engine. The backset will also probably get slightly more spacious.

what do you expect Nuno? VW Group works with Porsche on the Toureg/Cayenne, VW aspires to Porsche’s performance and will use their more aerodynamic styling whenever possible..

From the font sketch I see too much European Ford Focus in the headlights. Guess they are just in a panic about the Z4 coupe stealing their sales/thunder.

What’s with all the hype LLN? It’s not radically different on the out side. Much a do about nothing.

To the watermark again: LLN has no right to copyright these sketches. They are freely available as part of the 2007 AUDI TT screensaver. You only have to do three things to get them:
1. register to 2007 Audi TT Lounge
2. download screensaver
3. decompile using suitable SWF-decompiler to obtain unspoilt pictures in a 1024*768 px. resolution.

Takes about 6 minutes to do.

There is therefore no reason why “larger sites” should steal this off you when they can do so off AUDI official website: and it only annoys ordinary users who may not be willing/able to look for it and extract it themselves for use e.g. on the desktop (i never use “branded” images, the branding is ugly)…

Sandman,

This may be true in an ideal world, but many larger and smaller sites HAVE taken images from LLN in the past. The images have been publicly available with enough research, but they are too lazy/unintelligent to find them themselves. The procedure you describe above might work easily, but many of these people do not have the know how or common sense to do so.

If this picture doesn’t speak 1000 words, i don’t know what could:
