I'm still on my original K03 and am getting ready for my second timing belt replacement on this thing. This is the news I've been waiting for... the turbo 6 will probably break 25 mpg on the highway, so I'll be looking forward to buying another Audi. That was close... When talking about Audi i was just exaggerating. Also many people were running into problems simply because they weren't patient. I backed away from buying another 2.7T because I was always trying to track down a hose leak because I wasnt getting full boost. Not to mention my balljoints and cv joints would always need replacing. I'd trust the 1.8T with a new timingbelt tensioner more than a 2.7T leaving me stranded. Having had both 1.8t/2.7t engined B5s I'd wait 2 yrs to buy one until more data comes out, even RS4 owners are running into engine problems.
