Audi to build S3 performance car

Audi has confirmed to a Netherlands publication that it plans to build a new S3 based on the latest-generation A3 hatchback. Audi previously offered a S3 between 1999 and 2003, but production stopped when the new A3 debuted. The debut of the S3 will be part of Audi’s sport offensive that includes the all-new S8 and forthcoming S6. Autovisie says the car will be presented in the fall in Paris. No word on U.S. availability.
