If you thought the Audi RS6 Avant was the craziest grocery-getter on the block, just wait a few years. Audi is readying an even more high-performance version of the RS6 Avant, a new report finds. Dubbed the RS6 Avant Plus, the more potent version promises to improve on the RS6′s already lofty performance figures.
A Plus model is nothing new to the RS6 Avant range, as Audi launched an RS6 Avant Plus version of the previous-generation car back in 2004. It featured a 30 horsepower boost — from 450 horsepower to 480 — thanks to a revised ECU and additional radiators. The last-gen RS6 Avant Plus also featured 19 inch wheels and a 10mm lower ride height, according to World Car Fans.

Following in the 2004 model’s footsteps, the latest RS6 Avant Plus will launch toward the end of the car’s life cycle — likely in 2011 — says AutoTelegraaf. It should see a few suspensions tweaks, along with a power boost to 613 horsepower — up from the RS6 Avant’s current rating of 580.

However, don’t hold your breath for the RS6 Avant Plus if you live in the U.S. — there are no plans to bring the RS6 Avant to the States, so the RS6 Avant Plus is all but out of the question.
