Although Audi’s Geneva Motor Show press release included images of the TT RS Coupe and Roadster, only the fixed-roof version of the hottest TT was on display at the Swiss show. Audi never gave a reason for the one horse show, but it appears as though the German automaker was saving the TT RS Roadster for a different venue.

Audi has announced it will unveil the open-air version of the TT RS at next month’s Leipzig AMI show. Like the TT RS Coupe, the topless version will use a 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-five, tuned to produce 340 horsepower. Power will be sent to all four wheels, providing enough grip to launch the Roadster from zero to 60 mph in a scant 4.7 seconds.

The TT RS Roadster will also borrow the same suspension and brake setup from the coupe, which should vastly improve overall performance compared to the standard car.

European sales of the TT RS Coupe and Roadster should kick off later this year, with U.S. sales likely to start a few months after.
