Lamboz, now, now, now, did I ever say you got under my skin, no I do not believe so. Looks like I got under yours though.
You are such an automotive expert. My only point is why do you post a comment on every domestic website if you have such a distatse for domestics so much?
I am an auto enthusiasts and see the good in bad in both foriegn and domestic. It is unfair to say all domestics are bad and all imports are great. That is not the case and once again you do it to stir up controversy which is quite immature which is why you are probably intelligent but young.
Domestics do still make stupid mistakes such as renaming a car after a car that was dropped without a complete redesign. aka Ford.
Are you mature enough to realize what would happen to the economy if either GM or Ford shut down?
You may not care though as you may not even live in the USA. Hopefully you don't.

Oh, and while the Enclave might not be on lots, the Acadia is, and everything I've learned of the Acadia is that is sucks. It's big, it's got lots of room, but it's slow, thirsty, the interior is shitty (the Buick has a bad interior as well...try looking at a picture of it and compare that to the interior in the Lexus RX350), and it drives like a tank. Too big, too overweight, too GM.

Haha, I need to get a life? Look at your little response, looks like I got under your skin doesn't it, keep it up man, GM needs as many propaganda bullshitters as they can get

One again, someone refers to GM woes and the only thing they have to back it up with are cars over twenty years old. can you not give better bad GM car examples then that? Toyota has had plenty of flops, the T-100, which Toyota invested alot of money into developing, the first RAV4, the last Cressida, all the Toyota vans prior to the very good Sienna, the last Tundra was not a big smash compared to the domestic pickups, and there are plenty more that were never sold in the U.S.
Again everything I listed, except the last Tundra, were from a decade or two ago. So they are irrelevant just like the GM cars you listed from 20 years ago.
No Toyota never built a 5.7 diesel, butb they did build a turbo 4 cylinder in the 80's in the small truck that actually gave the owner problems before the beds even had a chance to rust and the frame break in the middle.
Once again, cars today are basically equal depending on price unlike a decade or two ago which anti-domestic people on this site can't seem to let go.
Truck Girl, I have had 25 GMC/Chevy trucks in my company fleet the last 15 years and other then the occasional maintenance issues, I can'y say I have too many issues with this many high mileage abused trucks, maybe it is how you take care of them. The Honda Pilot is a nice SUV, no doubt. But it is nothing more then a crossover 4wd minivan.

Hey, Give me a GN or GNX! If that is an "old persons" car, so be it! Any of you don't think those babies will scream are crazy!

But that was long ago in a universe far far away! Remember that the Oldsmobile Cutlass was the largest selling car in the world in the mid 80's and 20 years later Oldsmobile was OUT OF BUSINESS! Buick has lost its relevance in todays market. The last fun car they built WAS the Grand National! After that it was FWD and rebadged junk! Just like GMC trucks, they are the question that nobody asked and the answer that nobody gave. Why does GM continue to spend billions of dollars to divide their dwindling market share into tiny little pieces?

As in NASCAR when Pontiac and Chevy were both involved in the sport. Now that Chevy is the GM spearhead in NASCAR, they are dominating like never before.

Take GMC and Chevrolet trucks and sell them under one badge, all SUVs are built by one division. All performance cars by one division. All luxury cars by one division. All engines under one roof. GM is holding on, tooth and nail to the good old days; when they held 50% of the market. It does not make sense to do business like GM does it! When you are facing a juggernaut like Toyota it is not time to divide your forces. But that is typical of GM. This is exactly why TOYOTA will run them over on their way to number one. The right products at the right time and at an atractive price.

The list of flops by GM is HUGE and the one by Toyota is SMALL. How many "5.7 Diesels" did Toyota Build? How many "Cadillac Cimmarons"? How many "Vegas"? How many "BUTT UGLY Cadillac Sevilles"? The list goes on forever!

I bleed GM blue bowties and it makes me sick to see the depths to which GM has fallen! Like it or not, GM MUST find a new way to do business or they are doomed to continue to loose customers to Toyota, Honda, Nissan and others!

My domestics were a mixed batch. The Fords were OK, but my Pontiac and GMC were the worst. I wanted to drive my 2003 Trailblazer off a cliff two years after I owned it because it was so bad. I traded it on a Honda Pilot and I enjoy it so much more.

I am only a spring chicken (23yo) so maybe when I'm like 90. I'll like Buicks too. This one looks big and fat.

Who says they havent, you? I and many I know have had both good and bad luck with domestics and imports alike. Look around there are plenty of old early 90's Lumina, Lesabres, trucks of all kinds, Camry's, Accords and on and on on the roads still, granted some of them should not be. Current makes and models are all higher quality then they were 5 years , even a decade ago regardless of whom produced it.
What is you proof? I mean real proof? Consumer Reports, MotorTrend, mainstream media. These are all biased left leaning publications that like to stir the controversy to sell mags. It can't be any of the awards such as J.D. Power, because they feel that the domestics play a big roll in the top ten on both reliabilty, cunsumer experience and quality.
So again, show everyone your unbiased facts as you are an expert.

Opel/GM/Saturn CANNOT compete. Garbage there is still garbage here. That's my point.

People have to spend their hard earned money on a car to last 5-7 years and not break their budget keeping it running. GM and Ford have yet to produce this type of car, Chrysler, Chrysler.....well....the 300 looks nice.

Saturn will not die. Theyr popular among Gen Y. And I see their designs and quality improving as well as their popularity.

Patckc88- what in the world makes you think Buick will last more than 2 decades. It won't. It's a fact. GM has too many brands. Buick belongs in China. Not here anymore. GM should focus on Chevy(Mainstream cars/SUVs/Trucks), Pontiac(Sporty Cars), Saturn(Youth Brand aka Scion fighter), GMC(Premium SUVs/Trucks), Saab(They have enough faithfuls where doing them right would be great for them), Cadillac(Should fill the loss of Buick. Keep the DTS and STS Make the STS Sporty and theDTS Buick like), and Hummer(Jeep fighter).

Buick has lost its spot. It deserved to.

Wow. People and their drama. If you dont like GM, then go leave comments on toyota forums and shit. I swear people just like the start fights because they have 1. nothing better to do with their time, or 2. are immature.

Anyway - Buick will make its comeback, just like Saturn did. 2 years ago everyone said Saturn was shit and now look.

Buick will die.

Ask anyone in Gen Y, it will die.

Nobody wants them from that group. It's a grandparents car, plain and simple.

1487, argue it all you want. I've read the things you said before, and every time me and my buddies (16-25) get a good laugh. We drive cars, good cars, Sti's, Evo's, Stangs, GTI's, Jetta's, BMW's. Excellent cars. Not crossovers, and especially not Buicks. Go to a school parking lot. The only Buick's you'd find are owned by {old} teachers. It's embarrassing to own one. SEriously argue it, please do. You really don't know what goes on with the way we think. Buicks are soft, cushiony, boring. And as far as we can see that wont change. The Enclave looks decent. I'd prefer the Acadia by far. But over both I'd prefer a Lexus or something along those lines. Even a CX-7 would look great. I'm not biased, at all. I like GM's progress i really do. I love the G8, the Sky not so much the solstice cus of that fugly front end, But i appreciate other cars as well. VW's, Mitsu's, BMW's, Honda's, Toyota's, etc. etc. They all have ups and downs. Buick is GM's down. A lone crossover will not save it from extinction. And i can honestly say this, I will never ever own a Buick, it seems all my crazy old neighbors love them. But what can I expect. They're all in their 80's/90's. Damn suburbs.

Buicks are soft, cushiony, boring. And as far as we can see that wont change. The Enclave looks decent. I’d prefer the Acadia by far. But over both I’d prefer a Lexus or something along those lines. Even a CX-7 would look great. I’m not biased, at all. I like GM’s progress i really do. I love the G8, the Sky not so much the solstice cus of that fugly front end, But i appreciate other cars as well. VW’s, Mitsu’s, BMW’s, Honda’s, Toyota’s, etc. etc. They all have ups and downs. Buick is GM’s down. A lone crossover will not save it from extinction. And i can honestly say this, I will never ever own a Buick, it seems all my crazy old neighbors love them. But what can I expect. They’re all in their 80′s/90′s. Damn suburbs.

@Homeboy...all i can say is that you have no right to knock gmnumberone4ever (or whatever he is now) if you're gonna do the polar opposite thing.

I'd love to get in this car and experience this interior. it seems pretty amazing. But really either the exterior doesn't photograph well or i just don't like the way it looks...looks fat in the back.

Haha, as if Autoweek isn't influenced significantly by advertising.

This Buick is an improvement in the exterior looks department, but then again anything would look like an improvement after the Rendezvous. The interior is an improvement, but is not even close to touching Lexus RX350 standards, not even close. The thing is huge, handles clumsily, is slow, and gets awful mileage. Sure it's better than what it replaces, but it's not the top of the class, there are far better choices out there.

Why a 2+ month embargo on a car available now??? Normally embargos are done to clear out sales of the current version of a car, otherwise you get the Osborne Effect.
If this was a decision made by Steve Shannon, I would be very, very worried over at Saab...

Buick has got to come up with a "Grand National" car to get people to look at Buick, walk into a dealership, and even say the word "Buick".

They need a breakout car, not a clone and not a truck.

Gm has the goods with this piece. But I'l l have to wait and see if in 3 years these are worth more than 40% of there selling prices. The problem is once you start hitting the 25 grand plus price point, a consumer has MANY choices. And why would anybody spend what I'm sure will be mid thirties kinda money on a vehicle that will surely DROP like a stone. Secondly why would anybody run out and get one of these now , when you know within 6 mths they will be selling at a Gm Family discount with 0% financing?

Don't get your prissy little hopes up 400hSS, Toyota doesn't have the ability to build a crossover as top notch as the Lambdas. They might as well not bother if they were smart because Buick has it all over Toyota in quality, style and performance. Everyone knows that.

If anything the MB, VW Toureg, Audi and Acura full size utes are what the Enclave is after and all of those are in serious trouble once these arrive on dealer lots.

euro/jazz - they always have embargos. The press *has* to agree to it. The automakers provide cars to journalists in advance so they have enough time to write their reviews provided they agree not to publish til after a certain date (after they 'release' the vehicle). its totally normal.

I like the Acadia, if i had a family i would get it, but buick has a horrible brand reputation so even if this was the nicest SUV i wouldnt get it.

Lets stick to the toppic of this vehicle. This is a well done crossover, it looks good, and the interior is amazing looking. Not what you have seen in any of GM's interiors. Give it some damn credit. 400 hourse ss, your wrong, just cause the lexus is made from toyota doesnt mean anything, if you read much just an article yesterday or the day befor said toyota is having a huge problem right now with cars leaving with very poor quality. Just a matter of time for your opinion to catch up to the facts.

Buick is the punchline of GM's lineup: when these cars are not appearing in water-cooler jokes about senior citizens at the office, they spend their mediocre days rotting in rental fleets. I personally wish they would retire the brand. Buick's identity -- what's left of it -- is obsolete and steps on Chevy, Saturn, or Cadillac whichever way it goes.
