Though the production version of the upcoming, unnamed “baby” Rolls-Royce hasn’t been shown yet, rumors are already emanating from Crewe that the “small” sedan will eventually be offered in “low-price” coupe and convertible variants in the style of its larger Phantom brother.
Shown in near-production form at the Geneva Motor Show a few weeks ago, the 200EX, as the concept was called, is essentially a 4/5s Phantom, both inside and out. Thus, it seems logical that, as high-end auto sales slow, the automaker would capitalize on the upcoming model’s obvious family resemblance.

AutoTelegraaf says that a coupe and convertible, in the vein of the Phantom Drophead Coupe, the open-top variant, and the Phantom Coupe, will make the show circuit in thinly-veiled concept form after the production sedan makes its debut.

The publication also suggests that the production sedan’s name will be Silver Ghost, a particularly historic name that refers both to an entire lineup and a specific 1907 40/50 HP model used for promotional purposes that was painted in aluminum paint with silver-plated fittings.
