Thank you Bryan Detty, Thank You. Seriously. Some people are just blind with GM hate, for no reason at all. If you go to a Toyota topic, does everyone just hate on them for most of the comments? Oh yeah, I'm really sick of these GMrules and GMnumber1-4ever idiots. What are you guys trying to accomplish? Is it just a fun game for you between classes at the high school? Stop responding to them people.

Typical clueless and juvenile remarks as usual on this forum. My guess most here don't even have a drivers license yet.

GM Holden has developed the platform that future RWD cars at GM NA will be based on. Cars, such as the next gen GTO, Camaro, Chevy Impala and possibly a RWD Buick along with some crossover cars.

#16 Have you heard of a Global Company!!! You know A Global Company has resourses throughout the world. Why would GM spend more money on R & D when they already did in Australia with Holden. Just like GM did with the Ecotec and the Delta platform... You know Opel which is German.

If it makes any of you American made bashers happy. The Holden Zeta platform if you don't know already is going to be made that the Oshawa, Ontario Car plant in CANADA.

Also The Oshawa Car Plant is the best Quality plant in N. America better than any other car company.

There seems to be one common streen of thought from those of you stateside, and that is that you seen desparate to have this car locally. After my trip last year to the states for three months, i can totally understand. not exactly a great selection of quality US designed cars, either in aesthetics or engineering.
but have you noticed that in Oz and NZ where this particular car is designed for, we drive rrom the right hand side of the car, in a number of the photos posted here, the pilots controls are on the left hand side. food for thought maybe.

#11 I was talking about American cars. Not the ones made in Australia. Whats sad is that GM has to use their Aussie arm for RWD cars in the 1st place. Has GM ever heard of R and D. Maybe if they would try this philosophy about the car business they would not be in the predicament they are in.

Hey GM 1-4. Those POS's you mention are kicking GM's ass in sales right now. In fact imports have outsold domestics for the 1st time ever. GM has a long way to go to make up for it's inferior products over the last 10 to 15 yrs. They are starting to go in the right direction but they have lots of work to do. Lets take BMW which you think is a POS. It has a reputation for building the best handling chassis for a sedan in the world. Maybe it would not be a bad idea for GM to emulate it.If you take away the current exhange rates with the Euro could a Chevy Cobalt really compare in handling to the BMW 1 series. That's just one of GM;s problems until you get to Cadillac and Corvette no American based car line in their inventory shows a basic understanding of ride versus handling. Bob Lutz worked for BMW. He should understand this. Every GM sedan/coupe from top to bottom should be RWD and have a suspension system that emulates BMW. (I'm not talking styling). Then of course there is GM's interiors. Better then they used to be but still a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10(with Audi being a 10 for best interiors). If GM could make significant changes to those 2 items only for a start then AND ONLY THEN American buyers will buy fewer imports and more American Cars. This is basic!

They won't be making any more money now that the American Revolution is in full force and taking no prisoners. Just wait BMW and Lexus will be wiped off the map with superior offerings from Cadillac, Pontiac and Buick.

Those two piles of shit have nothing on the General and this new Holden is another example of how GM builds the greatest cars in the business.

More winners from the Genrral here. Makes BMW look like a foolish waste of money here doesn't it?

Rear drive, V8 American muscle. GM, bring it and there will be no more BMW, Mercedes, or Lexus in this country as nobody would want those piles of shit.
