Proof that one really bad part of a car's styling can affect the rest of it. That front is *really* bad. It looks like it's constipated. I get that they were trying to go for the ol' classic mounted headlights of the 1920s thru 1940s, but they tried too hard and failed. The mirrors don't fit either. The sides and rear are stunning, but the front and the mirrors really bring it down. I also think they could have done something more original with the LEDs around the main front lights, and the smaller ovoid lights could have been done much better as well.

VW really botched this one, but it will sell anyways. The Brooklands is so much more beautiful though.

Arnold's a pipsqueak! He barely comes up to Edward Hemann's shoulder. Looks like he was detailed at the same shop that prepped the Bentley. Champagne suit matches the car; hair matches shoes; "tan" buffed to a fare-thee-well.

I'm pretty sure anyone on here wouldnt say no to being given one.....!!

We can comment on the look, performance etc etc but the truth is, it doesnt matter. This car is so far out of 99% of the populations reach that to sit and mull about such things is redundent. Just be glad that we live in a world that still produces such objects of desire.

To say that you would rather have a RR over this is like saying I'd rather sleep with Gisele Bundchen than Adriana Lima.........neithers gonna happen!!!

The new Mulsanne is growing on me...but I still can't get over that Mazda-esque smiley face.

Wish Bentley had taken more of a chance with this sedan's design. The RR Phantom is a nod to Royces of the past but it is definitely a 21st century car, as is the new Ghost.

The rear end of the new Mulsanne reminds me of the Maybach, especially that wack trunk lid.

The dash, center stack and steering wheel appear to be simple redesigns of those found in the Arnage.

The RR Phantom and Ghost interiors look nothing like Royces of the past yet their interiors still say "Rolls Royce."

It's one thing to be mindful of a car company's heritage and DNA but Bentley played it too safe...

Well, no matter, it ain't like I can cut a check and buy this car. If the Franklin Mint ever makes a diecast of this car I'll have to buy it...that I can afford.

Anyone remember the scene in "The Christmas Story" where they go out to eat at the end and the dad tells the waiter "its smiling at me". The the waiter chops the head off...think that would work with a salesman in the showroom?

Bet anyone who was thinking of trading in their Arnage just changed their minds...

The front lights remind me of the chinese flashlights with all this crome inside them. The front bumber is too thick, and the badge looks like a RR immitation.
The lines of the car are very good, though, and with some smaller, more gracefull side mirrors it would be even better.
So, how can you tell a great looking car from all the others? It's simple. There is no way to further improve its design. You try to find something to correct on it, some change that would make it better. And you just can't! Any change you try to picture ends up on a failure because all the elements are wiselly put together, after a lot of thinking.
That's not the case here...

Absolutely stunning.

Watch companies like Chrysler, Kia, Hyundai and some of the other luxury wannabes copy that front end.

In 2-3 years there will be other luxury marques with large single headlight front ends. They copied Bentley before and they'll do it again.

Yes, when you're buying a $400k car, you're considered to be among the masses and you're just absolutely killing yourself over how your Mulsanne cost a couple hundred bucks over an Arnage.
No, really. This car is epic. I wouldn't care if the design team charged me a couple grand for the design alone (over the Arnage or Phantom). I would imagine that they charge a couple hundred for small extra features, such as sound-proofing the windows so you can ignore the crowd following your car with their camera phones, and/or for extra paint glossiness so your car will be too bright to show up in their pictures.

The guages that start out in the 1 O'Clock position is interesting. It's kind of change for change's sake, but at least it isn't the computer screen that's in the new Jag. What's with those huge logos on the steering wheel buttons? I guess you've got to be 90 to afford one, so it's the Jitterbug special.

The rear end looks more like a mid 80's Lincoln Continental that a Bentley Continental too...

I wonder how much Bentley is paying their designers these days. A monkey could take the current design and stretch a C-pillar here and shrink the outside headlight. It's definitely good-looking, but I would imagine that if Bentley let go of their design team, they could probably drop the sticker price a hundred bucks or so on this car, making it much more affordable to the masses.

what also throws it off is that there's no lights at the bottom front fascia, maybe if there was fog lights (in bentley's favor) maybe it would change the looks but then again its a bentley not a kia.

People who get caught shoplifting at Neiman Marcus probably make a nice statement as well. That still doesn't make it right.

I like this much better than the RR vehicles. I can picture these running around Hollywood and the Hamptons. Makes a nice statement.
