After showing off a concept version of its EXP 9 F SUV at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last weekend, Bentley has now gone ahead and shown off photos of a near-production ready version of the vehicle. The company also asked Volkswagen Group's board to approve the vehicle for production last week.
There have been over 2,000 expressions of interest from potential customers, AutoCar learned from sources inside the company. That number is key to the SUV being produced, which divided opinion based on its styling at its Geneva Motor Show debut. The strong consumer response is in line with earlier reports.
The same sources indicated the exterior styling of the front and rear ends would need to be changed fairly drastically before the car is approved for production. The interior, however, saw positive reaction from the potential consumer base and will likely carry over fairly untouched from the concept.
