Buying a used car can be a scary prospect as sellers often “forget” to mention key issues and a complete accident history when attempting to squeeze every last penny out of the sale of their unwanted vehicle. Luckily for anyone shopping for a “sweet” 1994 BMW 530i wagon, this seller takes honesty to a level previously unimaginable.
In what is certainly one of the most comprehensive, commendable and completely honest used car ads ever created, this video manages to turn Sales 101 on its head by making brilliant use of humor and brilliant video editing to sell an otherwise unsellable jalopy.
Although the car in question is only a 1994 BMW 530i – a wagon I might add – it features, as the seller points out, mismatched tires, a leaking sunroof, a blown speaker and nearly 200,000 miles – just to name a few qualities. With a list of selling points like that, who wouldn’t be willing to fork over $2,800…or “much, much less,” as the seller suggests he would accept.
