Ford has been more reluctant to highly incentive its pickup trucks, much the opposite of Toyota and General Motors. But that’s set to change as Ford is offering $250 dealer certificates for every F-Series sold in the United States between July 24 and 31. Those certificates can then be applied to future sales between Sept. 4 and Oct. 1.
The highly unusual program will give dealers a $250 certificate for each new F-150 or Super Duty sold between July 24 and 31. in September, the dealers will be able to pass on up to four certificates to consumers, allowing up to $1,000 in additional savings.

The program was last used in ’04, but dealerships complained that it discriminated against low-volume dealerships.
