He needs to quit. Since FMC Chairman and Chief Executive Willam Clay Bill Ford Jr assumed his post almost five years ago, the company racked up $9 billion in losses and restructuring charges, cut 73,000 American jobs, and lost $18 billion in stock market value. That’s a LOT of losses, and we have some of it to blame on Mr Ford.

Hopefully someone will take his place and actually help Ford, rather than stack up losses.
Oh yeah and… nobody cares about what Bill Ford looks like.

I don’t think Ghosn would jump ship just yet. I think he has a certain loyalty to the brand that he saved and his roots. If he moves around too much he won’t have any strong grip over a certain brand. Right now Nissan is like his personal fortress. Besides, the worker mentality in Japan and US are different so it would be impossible to prove if he can do the same with Ford or GM.

nice! hopefully he’ll get someone more capable of handling the current situations of Ford. I think Carlos Ghosn is a very good bet but there are probably other people that can fix it (i think).

When I purchased a gt500 over a year ago. There was going to be just over three thousand built. And you had to buy from an svt dealer. It is being built now. But in much higher numbers. (that part makes sence) When I finally got to speak to a human at fomoco, they informed me the cars are not built on a first come basis. Also any dealer can get one. Eaven if they closed svt! Those dealers had a comitment of time and money. Ford has an obligation, and is ignoring it. If they treat their dealers and customers like that. Where’s the incentive?

Bill did his best. I wouldnt mind him staying at Ford, but not in CEO position. Hope he finds somebody better and good.
