Concerns are mounting among Ford workers about what the automaker will announce tomorrow when it unveils its long-awaited restructuring plan. “It’s Black Monday,” said Mark Mockaitis, a line worker at Ford’s assembly plant in St. Paul, Minn. The Detroit News and Time say Ford will cut 25,000 blue-collar jobs in North America, and shut 10 assembly and parts plants. Ford will reduce its North American manufacturing capacity by about 25 percent or by 1 million units. Stay tuned to Leftlane for coverage of Ford’s announcement tomorrow.
