Bloomingdale’s customers to get first crack at G37 convertible

10/31/2008, 12:18 PM

By Drew Johnson

Infiniti’s G37 hard top convertible isn’t slated to make its official debut until November 19th at the Los Angeles Auto Show, but fans waiting for an Infiniti drop top – not named the M30 – won’t have to wait that long to put their money down on the sleek two-door.

Beginning November 6th, Bloomingdale’s customers will be able to buy the G37 convertible before it even makes its world debut. Available through the company’s annual holiday catalog, the G37 convertible will be a limited edition model, with 200 examples earmarked for production. Dubbed the Premier Edition, the special model will feature a red interior, 19 inch wheels and a unique interior, according to Automotive News.

Although Bloomingdale’s customers will be able to pre-order the G37 convertible on November 6th, they will have to until spring 2009 – just like all other buyers – to take delivery of their G37 convertible.

No word on pricing for the G37 convertible of Premier Edition, but look for pricing to stay south of $60,000.

The non-Bloomingdale versions better stay south of $50K if Nissan expects to move them. Otherwise can you say Lexus SC430?

You gotta be either pretty old or pretty queer to buy your ride at Bloomies along with your linens and underwear. The fact that Inifiniti is initially running this thing thru Bloomingdales confirms to me that it is a geriatric boulvard cruiser made for retirees in Palm Springs

You guys are being totally unfair. Dr. Fullofit would never be caught dead wearing undergarments from Bloomingdale’s cruising Palm Springs in his Infinti looking for retired geriatrics.

…in a Toyota, maybe.

‘johnny’, you’re right afterall … all the while lusting after the other women in their G37s.
