Spy photographer Brenda Priddy has captured a few new shots of a BMW 7-Series prototype testing in a western United States desert. Although the car is heavily camouflaged, we can tell that the front end has more 6-Series to it than the current model.

BMW is reportedly developing an 8-speed automatic transmission for the 7-Series, as well as an updated iDrive. It's expected that the interior, like the exterior, will be more understated than the current model. The new 7 is expected to arrive in 2008 as a '09 model. Priddy's photographers caught what might be the same car testing in Germany back in September.
