BMW's new, limited edition X6 Performance Edition will benefit from both its sport-oriented M division and its personalization Individual division when it hits our shores by the end of this year.

Just 100 examples of the BMW Individual X6 Performance Edition - that's its full name - will be offered. Split 50/50 between the six-cylinder xDrive35i and the eight-cylinder xDrive50i variants of the X6 style-oriented crossover, the Performance Edition technically went into production last month, although some will be built this month.

The special crossover derives the first part of its name by a walk through the BMW Individual catalog. Special Pearl Silver metallic paint, 20-inch "Y-Spoke" alloy wheels and black chrome exhaust tips set it apart outside. Inside, buyers will find Black Alcantara and leather covering the seats and door panels, while Sakhir Orange contrast stitching sets the look apart. BMW says that further orange contrast stitching and piping will adorn the car's dashboard and floor mats, while the Individual division's carbon leather covers the dashboard and center console. BMW has not released any interior images.

BMW Individual is the automaker's bespoke-style trim department, which offers more avant garde styling options for discerning buyers.

Completing the X6 is the M Performance Package upgrade, which adds 15 horsepower and 30 lb-ft. of torque to the inline six-cylinder turbo in the xDrive35i and 40 horsepower and 30 lb-ft. of torque to the V8. All-in, that means the xDrive35i now boasts 315 ponies and 330 lb-ft. of torque, while the xDrive50i is rated at 440 horsepower and 480 lb-ft. of torque.

Regardless of powertrain, the BMW Individual X6 Performance Editions will also be loaded up with the otherwise optional Premium Package, Cold Weather Package, Technology Package, soft close doors, running boards, satellite radio, BMW Apps and the three-seat rear bench configuration. X6 xDrive50i models will also include LED headlamps and a Premium Sound package.

Pricing is set at $81,695 for the xDrive35i and $92,895 for the xDrive50i.Â
