BMW, Audi, Fiat execs talk design

Business Week has published an extensive special report on car design, with perspective from BMW, Audi, Fiat, and others. In an interview, BMW design exec Adrian van Hooydonk explains that BMW believes in taking risks as a part of innovation. He also revealed BMW is “working full speed on the next generation of models, and we are working on two concepts that are totally new to the car industry.” Meanwhile, Audi’s Walter Maria de’Silva predicts a revolution in interior design, from ergonomics to materials. Lastly, Fiat’s chief designer, Frank Stephenson, talks about sensuality, artistry, and staying organic in a digital world.
