For the third consecutive year, BMW has topped the luxury segment of the 2006 Residual Value Award from the Automotive Lease Guide. Meanwhile, BMW’s Mini division topped the compact car segment with the highest projected resale value. “We’re delighted to receive this award because it demonstrates our commitment to providing value in our products,” said Tom Purves, Chairman and CEO of BMW North America. “To attain the recognition for the third consecutive year is especially significant because it comes as we conclude a year of unprecedented new models.” The Leftlane Perspective: It’s been a great year for BMW. Recently, we reported that that up to the end of November, the German carmaker had already passed last year’s overall sales figure.
