BMW E90 3-Series police chase, crash [VIDEO] (updated)

Several online BMW discussion forums were abuzz today with the story of a police chase involving a BMW E90 3-Series. It’s not every day you see a brand new Bimmer in a chase with law enforcement, nor do you often see one get wrecked. But that’s what happened in this chase, which covered many of the major highways in Houston, Texas. For hours, the BMW out-maneuvered and overpowered the police cars. The chase ended when the E90 driver went the wrong way on a one-way on-ramp and slammed into a car. A woman who was in the Chrysler sedan that got hit jumped out to pounded on the E90 driver’s window, obviously more than a little ticked that this maniac had just crashed into the car that was carrying her baby. Both the woman and her child were taken to hospital for observation, while the person driving the Chrysler was taken away on a stretcher. The driver of the Bimmer surrendered, apparently having suffered no major injuries. A new, longer video from CNN can be seen after the jump…

This doesn’t belong on LLN! First off this isn’t what you should do owning (or did he steal it?) a car like that. And he isn’t a good driver either, almost lost control going in between the truck and the cop car. Anyway it’s dumb and plain stupid.

This was obviously no seasoned BMW driver, if he was he would have gotten away. Must have been a trailor-trash Mustang owner. It’s a pity to watch a car like that be destroyed by an idiot.
