BMW, Jaguar, Toyota, MB pick up ‘What Car?’ awards (updated)

The new BMW 3-Series was last night named Car of the Year at this year’s What Car? Awards. Meanwhile, Jaguar’s new XK won the What Car? Reader Award for “the most exciting car of 2006.” Last but not least, Toyota won the Green Award for its environmental efforts and Citroen won the Safety Award for its protection of drivers, as well as pedestrians. Update: The best luxury car award went to the new 2007 Mercedes S-Class.
