Very strange to see so many low volume, low selling vehicles on the list, namely: Aerio, S4, Marauder.

At leat the theives have good taste. Those ///M Roadsters are teh coolness, especially the 2001 S54 engined models.

I agree with #1, it is strange to see the low volume jammies up there.

That’s likely due to the fact that they base this on “theft rate.” If they sold 30 S4s and 2 got stolen, but 3000 Camrys and 20 got stolen, the S4 still has a higher theft rate.

I wonder if it’s because all of these cars are easy to hotwire? It’s probably a lot easier to break into and get an Aerio going than a new Mercedes or BMW.

You’d think there’d be an immobilizer on the BMW and Audi at least?

This is so misleading. Who cares about “theft rates”, give me raw numbers. Box chevys, round body chevys(95-96 Impalas), cutlass, civics, 80 model MCs, etc…

Why would anyone want to steal any of those dumpers on the list? Don’t they know everyone else would much rather have a superior GM offering?

Idiots

If you look at the M Roadster and all the Integras, the reason behind the thefts is that the thieves look to strip the cars of the engines and parts to put on the lesser cars (S54 motors in E36, Z3, etc).

It’s funny. With all those Integras on the list, they skipped the model year of my car — 2000. Maybe I’m safe, because people steer away from the turn of the millenium :p
