Riders with the fastest MotoGP time on the racing circuit this year will be rewarded with a fast car to take home with them. For 2006, BMW is donating two awesome new Z4M automobiles as prizes for the best riders participating in the Motorcycle Road Racing World Championship. The rider achieving fastest time in the MotoGP tests being held in Barcelona/Spain on 5 March 2006 will win a BMW Z4 M Roadster. A BMW Z4 M Coupe will go to the MotoGP rider with the fastest overall time from all qualifying rounds at the last world championship leg in Valencia/Spain on October 29. Moreover, BMW will again be supplying the Safety Cars for the Motorcycle Road Racing World Championship for the next four years. In addition to four further BMW automobiles, a BMW M5 and a BMW M6, both delivering 507 bhp and driven by professionals, will constitute a fast-moving and eye-catching escort to the MotoGP.

Why would they give a car to a motercycle racer. Why not give a BMW motercycle ???

Because a motorcycle racer probably has all sorts of fast motorcycles for his personal use, considering his profession. Besides, who wouldn’t take a Z4?

Hmm.. Z4M Coupé. I must say that’s one of the best looking cars ever made (along with its predecessor, the Z3 Coupé).

I bet the drivers will be more interested in winning the circuit races. Else, Who will not want a BMW? The motorcycle racers will be now expected to be more agressive and eager to win the race. Good job BMW and a good promotion.

Vale will probably add both of them to his growing collection of free BMWs acquired during the 2004 season (I think he got 3-4 that year).
