Sales of BMW's BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce products surged 6.1 percent in April, totaling 145,505 units. So far this year BMW has sold 571,040 vehicle worldwide, representing a new company record and a healthy increase over the 519,958 vehicles sold during the same period last year.
In addition to setting a new company record, April was also significant for BMW as it signaled a changing of the guard. With 27,197 deliveries China became BMW's largest single market in April, beating out Germany (27,192 units) and the United States (26,793 units).
