The recall covers BMW 5-Series, 6-Series, 7-Series, X5 and X6 models from the 2011-12 model years, as well as Rolls-Royce Ghost models produced between 2010 and 2011. The recall only applies to vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines.
The recall covers 2,846 vehicles wearing a BMW badge and 69 Rolls-Royce models.
BMW will remedy the problem by replacing the auxiliary water pump free of charger. The recall is scheduled to begin this month.
