BMW at the Geneva Motor Show unveiled a special race version of the BMW Z4 M. The power unit of the beefy coupe is a BMW Motorsport designed 3.2-litre in-line 6-cylinder engine delivering about 400bhp, with the suspension area in particular benefiting from the knowledge gained from the successful BMW M3 GTR project. The customer motor racing comes from BMW Motorsport and BMW Racing Parts. The kit can be ordered from May 2006 at BMW Motorsport and will be available for an estimated € 250,000. The Leftlane Perspective: This body kit (minus the giant wing) would make a stunning Z4 M CSL. We’d love to see a reasonably price CSL model along these lines on streets. See the images after the jump…
Just when I thought the Z4 couldn’t get any uglier =p. At least it has the speed to go with the duds. Good show, BMW

that’s not $289k, the conversion is 1.768 dollars for one pound. so that’s $436,000. and it’s more than a body kit, it’s says suspension and motor upgrades too. If I were in the market for a race car, it’d be considered. I’m sure it’s a decent price.
And i’m sure that if you’re using it for racing, the wing has functionality.

Uh, no, that is Euros, not Pounds. 250K Euros works out to just under $298,000.

I rather like it. One thing i’d change though: The front lower air inlets. I think they would look better if they were bigger.

I would like to see a basic non painted fibreglass kit for the average guy for like 1-2 grand.
