Geneva LIVE: BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe

BMW has revealed the Concept M8 Gran Coupe in Geneva, previewing a four-door 'Coupe' that will serve as the brand's new flagship model.

The company describes the M8 Gran Coupe as "ultra-sporty, extrovert and polarizing," accentuating the 8 Series' muscular design language and adding two doors beneath a sloping roofline.

"The BMW Concept M8 Gran Coupe is designed to stir things up, to polarize - it should move you emotionally," says BMW M design head Domagoj Dukec.

The concept features a unique Salève Vert paint scheme that shifts from green to greyish blue in different lights, contrasting against gold-colored accents.

The 8 Series Gran Coupe and M8 Gran Coupe are scheduled to be presented in final production form next year, following the two-door variants into global showrooms.
